Smithers Pro-Life
Who We Are:
The Pro-Life Society of Smithers is a membership supported organization that strives for a society in which every human life is protected, respected, and valued from conception until natural death. To meet that objective, the Society seeks to awaken within Christ’s followers a deep conviction that God abhors the killing of innocent human beings because they are created in his image. Then the Society strives to educate the broader Bulkley Valley Community about the injustice of abortion and euthanasia in order to change people’s hearts and minds.
What We Do:
The Pro-Life Board produces and promotes information and events pertaining to their objectives and disseminates this to its membership, to BV church members, and to BV citizens by using such means as church newsletters, electronic mail, Facebook, marches, advertising, billboards, dinners, guest speakers, pamphlet racks, movie nights, and an educational lending library. The board solicits financial support through memberships, fundraisers, and donations to support the work of the Society and to maintain a Pregnancy Care Center that offers services such as testing, counselling, and assistance to women who are unsure about a pregnancy.
