Volume Two: The Dream

Based on the great success of over 10,000 copies of our first volume, The Gift , now in the hands of youth, pro-life groups, church communities, parents and grandparents, we have written the next story in this series, The Dream. Unique to this story is the participation of a grade 12 class offering their real-time insight on how youth would deal with a classmate facing a life-altering decision.

The Dream deals with two best friends and their classmates. Steve, facing a life in a wheelchair after a car accident, is asking for MAiD when he turns 18 in a few months. He asks his best friend for support on this.
How would youth react?
What can we say to one another?
How do we know what is the right choice? How can they help Steve?

Presently, all materials on MAiD (medical assistance in dying) target adults, in particular suffering adults, or it falls into the domain of policy education. The next generation needs to be exposed to this difficult topic in a way that they can comprehend it and discuss it intelligently. This is a resource created so that teachers, parents, and youth leaders can easily enter into this topic offering this generation knowledge that prepares them to choose LIFE in a crisis.
