The Gift

Created in 2024 with the first volume, The Gift, this series aims to present controversial and difficult moral issues to the teen generation through a life-affirming viewpoint. It seeks to provide pathways for the next generation to address the complicated and ethically challenging situations of their day.

It is accompanied by a Teaching Guide to offer support to parents, youth leaders and all who wish to teach their youth about topics they are facing. Educating the next generation in this way is crucial as these young people, often absent in churches, have not heard life-affirming messages at all. It is this same group who in ten or twenty years will be making decisions over their elderly family members, holding office, and teaching the young. Offering them such a resource challenges the status quo and opens the opportunity for life-enhancing dialogue.

The Gift—The Story of Josh and Casey was the first volume in series of pro-life comic books called LifeChoices. It deals with an unexpected pregnancy. The format of a choose-your-own-ending comic book/graphic novel was selected as this remains the most popular reading medium for teens. Anchored in the Christian worldview, the story and Teacher’s Guide move the reader to delve deeply into hotly contested life-and-death issues and, ultimately, present the choice for life as the only real choice. Over 6,000 copies have been distributed to various organizations.
